chapters from 4...till10

after hilda settled down in her friend's house she realised that ellen health is better.gertie start teaching ellen .Mabel hailda's friend kept in touch with hilda by letters.In one of these letters to her , mabel was telling hilda that her house was bombed and she had to move to clapham.Hilda tells gertie that she want to go to the village.hilda wanted to see if there is any letters from her husband doug, but gertie was not excited when hilda asked her to take her there,because she wasn't a very socializing person,and she thought that the people in the village were not nice,and they only wanted to get information about gertie's work.And finaly gertie agreed to take hilda to the vilage.Hilda didn't find any letters from doug.After a while ,doug araived to somerset.ellen was so happey that her dad came,and hilda was very shocked and glad to see her husband again.gertie as a child had thought her feelings toward hilda were sisterly,but now after she reached puberty,her feelings start to change,but hilda has been always attrachted to boys.gertie pretended that she was interasted in boys too,but all the time she had grown closer and more in love with hilda.Doug realized that gertie was not happey when he arived and then he got angry and told gertie to not(try her moves on hilda).hilda was mad at doug because he said that to gertie,but hilda stops being after she heared and sow doug crying at night,because he had a very bad nightmare.Doug was very surprised by the change in ellen,she was taller and her nose sprinkled with freckles.Doug started helping in the digging and planting,and he enjoyed it. Doug said to hilda "it's a shame ,we have only maneged the one child".Hilda told doug that after having too much trouble falling pregnent, it was good that she still got ellen.Ellen became used to play alon,and she loved exploring,finding things,and had turned the woods into her own magic kingdom.ellen was really sad that gertie has saled some of the animals in the farm.In order to make ellen happey gertie had bought ellen a kitten, and ellen was so glad to have a new bet.Now it was time for doug to leave. Gertie was so glad that doug will leave and she thought that when he leaves her imagenery family that she made up with hilda and ellen will come back.The train was going to leave very soon, and gertie was hoping to take doug and reach the station befor the train leave.While hilda hoped that he will miss the train so she can have more time with him.gertie was able to reach the station on time.ned,gertie's horse,was so tired now because gertie made him run so fast with no stop or rest till they reached the station.Hilda and ellen said their good byes to doug, and he left so fast.Hilda and ellen was very sad then.Gertie told hilda that ned need some rest but hilda was now so angry and deppresed, and all she can think of is that she can't wait to go back to london with ellen.

 hilda reached her friend in the crewkerne station,but she didnt recognise her at first,she looked so diffrent to her .when gertie saw ellen ,she was surprised by her look and prettyness.hilda saw  gertie's  small horse and cart,she asked her  if these are her's,and she answered yes,and it was her only transporter.hilda thanks her friend for allowing her to come over in her house,and gertie start apologizing for not reading and  replaying her letters quickly, and she felt sorry for  her parents' death and she started calming her down.while they were on the way to gertie's house, hilda start asking gertie about her lonelyness here and how she felt living alon,and they were talking about their lives , and what is thier news,and remmbering the past and what happened to them.  they went on and on untell they finally  reached gertie's house.hilda and ellen  found the house strange and full with animals , and had no electricity at all ,and it has that old traditional decorations .hilda thinks that going to gertie's house was the right decision.she thinks that she and ellen will be fine there.

There was a wamen called hilda, she was married to a man who was sent to the navy.She had a daughter called ellen,and they were living in london that was under attach,the house that hilda's parents were living in was bombed in the war,hilda's parents were killed.and her house was bombed too.Ellen was sick and afraid, so hilda decided to send her daughter to her friend (gertie's)house away from london,because she wanted ellen to be save.But her daughter didnt agree to go without her mother,so hilda decided to go with her daughter to gertie's house.And while she was going with her daughter she was wearing her mother's neckless that her mother thought it brings luck.
